| This is a jackfruit tree. I've read that jackfruit grow up to 40 pounds; and what's more, they grow off of the trunk of the tree, not the branches. The people sitting underneath the tree don't seem to be concerned that up to forty pounds of sweet (but hard-skinned) yumminess could at any moment come crashing down on their heads. (Nicole, you'll notice, is not directly underneath.) |
