So then we went riding on the back of a (slightly) bigger elephant.  Here's a couple of pictures where we're feeding it bananas.  Apparently sculptures of elephants are supposed to have their trunks raised, because otherwise all of the luck runs down the trunk.
As you can see, this is a very lucky elephant.  (Boy they love those bananas!)  It should be mentioned that another of the elephants on our ride through the jungle actually stole most of the bananas that I had bought our elephant -- which is consistent with the old Thai proverb, lucky in riding elephants, unlucky in feeding them bananas.  (Actually, I made that bit up.)
