After ringing bells, we entered Wat Phrathat proper and were wowed by the Chedi. Lots of gold leaf! |

On the night of the full moon in May, the birth, life and death of Buddha are celebrated all over Thailand (it's a national holiday). Here I'm at Wat Chedi Luang in Chiang Mai, watching people (including Nicole) circumambulate around the main Chedi (clockwise!) carrying incense and candles and lotus blossums. I used a long exposure and captured blurry people. |
