This is one of the things we observed all
over Thailand and Cambodia: people riding these crazy little
"motorbikes" (think: souped up mopeds), with one person in front and
one or two or maybe even three people in back, often riding
side-saddle. I'm sure it's totally
safe. | |

Our tuk-tuk!!! It's actually quite a
fancy one, much nicer than any of the ones that we rode in
Thailand. You can see that it's actually a motorbike with a
hitch, as opposed to permanently-attached composite vehicle.
Our driver was very nice and helpful, so although the asking
price for showing us around for the entire day and night (he
waited while we went inside the various wats, and while we ate our
meals) was $12, we paid him $15. You can see in this picture,
if you look closely, that Martin is once again demonstrating his
incredible ability to close his eyes at just the moment that the
camera flash goes off. This is an innate talent. Many
people work for years to achieve this level of unphotogenetaiety;
but I was born with it. | |
