This is the last picture of Mu Ang Thong
Marine National Park. We climbed up about 500 meters and were
able to see all of the islands that make up the park. Lots of
karst! You cannot see Nicole-and-Martin beach in this picture,
but it's down to the right just a little bit. You can see that
there are several other, as-yet-unnamed beaches on the nearby
islands, just waiting for some intrepid farang (Thai for
"foreigner") to come along and discover them!

This was the third place that we stayed on
Ko Samui. It was really nice. It's on Chaweng beach,
which is one of the more busy beaches on Ko Samui. But this
place (Le Montien) was really incredibly nice, and it was our last
two nights on Ko Samui, so we decided to splurge. It was hard
going back to Chaweng beach (our first night had been there,
but the place we stayed was pretty abysmal), but with a nice room
and good restaurants on the beach, we were able to persevere and not
be too concerned about the hordes of beautiful topless
sunbathers. Yes it was hard, but we managed
alright. | |
